The document-heavy construction back office, automated

Techtiz automates the construction back office: bid and takeoff document processing, RFI and submittal routing, and field reporting. Built to read plan sets and specifications, integrated with Procore-class project systems and your ERP, for firms with no internal AI capability and no appetite to build one.

The bottleneck Research and Markets, 2026

32.8% growth. Most of it out of reach.

AI in construction is growing at roughly a 32.8% compound annual rate through 2030. The named restraints among smaller contractors are high upfront investment and limited access to AI-literate technical staff. Both are budget and hiring problems, not technology problems.

Where it pays back

Three workflows that pay back now.

  1. Workflow · 01

    Estimators read 400 pages

Six clauses hide in a plan set nobody has time to search.

Retrieval and OCR over your own drawings

  2. Workflow · 02

    RFIs chased by hand

Submittals stall because status lives in somebody’s inbox.

Routing with approval gates on scope changes

  3. Workflow · 03

    Field data entered twice

Logs captured on site, then retyped into the system of record.

Structured capture straight into the record

The deal-killer Straight answer

Can it actually read our plan sets?

This is a retrieval and optical character recognition problem, and it is the part most vendors gloss over. Scanned drawings, mixed-quality PDFs, and specification books with inconsistent structure all behave differently. We test on your actual documents during scoping, before quoting, and we will tell you if your document quality makes a workflow unviable. A demo on clean documents proves nothing about your archive.

Document processing at scale

Document pipeline and retrieval capability across client work, plus the solicitation-decode discipline we apply on our SLED track, which is document processing at volume under a deadline.
